was informed that former champions Carlos Quintana (26-2, 20KOs) and
Verno Phillips (42-11, 21KOs) may clash in a junior middleweight bout
on September 17 with Versus televising. Tough fight for both. Quintana
has been inactive since last October due to illness and injuries.
Phillips has not fought since last November's TKO loss to Paul
Williams.

I dont think this is ever going to happen. I think Quintana vs Cintron is next.
you gotta think outside the box carlos...every1 knows phiips wont win a rematch and will never get one...but if philips lost to williams and then Quinatana beats philips its like oh wow look at quintana doing everything williams has done..maybe the 3rd fight will prove who is better
